What you’ll do


In this compassionate role, you will work with children and families in British Columbia at Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children, performing a comprehensive range of rehabilitation care that will enhance their lives and well-being.

  • Using strong leadership and organizational skills, you will impact the health of our young patient population and their families by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating an individualized nursing care plan.
  • Using a family-centered approach, you will work in collaboration with the child's family to assess the needs of the patient and act as a clinician, educator and consultant to provide quality patient care and health information.
  • Through support and family teaching, you will provide a better quality of life by evaluating family response to nursing interventions and participating in discharge planning. 


What you bring

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Current CPR (Level C) certification.
  • One (1) year of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proven ability to set priorities and organize patient care.

Sunny Hill Health Centre (SHHC) provides specialized development and rehabilitation to B.C. children and youth and their families.


BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH) provides care for the most seriously ill or injured children from across British Columbia.
