BC Children’s Hospital is seeking a Diagnostic Neurophysiology Technologist to join our team!  

 

You are an Electrophysiology-trained technician who is skilled in performing EEGs through routine procedures as well in within critical care settings. You enjoy children of all ages – from the smallest of pre-term infants through to young adults, with a wide variety of physical, intellectual, and communication abilities. • Work with a wide range of paediatric patients and their families, ranging from preterm neonates to young adults with a wide variety of abilities, in a rewarding and challenging environment.
• Be motivated to further develop skills in a supportive environment, including working toward additional registrations.

What you bring 

• Graduation from an approved Electrophysiology Course with certification or a hospital-based training program from an approved institution or two (2) years recent experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the hospital
• One (1) year of recent paediatric experience preferred
• Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Registration with the Canadian or American Board of Registration for Electroencephalograph Technologists (R.E.T. or R.EEG T.)

 

You will have

 

• Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and other related reports.
• Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
• As a strong asset for consideration, we are looking for our successful candidate to have: Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).

Wage: $33.29 to $41.61 per hour
