As a Medical Transcriptionist in our Anatomical Lab, your work will directly support life-saving decisions by ensuring vital medical information is captured and documented with precision. Working closely with pathologists and healthcare professionals, you'll be at the heart of transforming complex medical cases into actionable insights that lead to exceptional patient outcomes.

What you’ll do

  • Transcribe medical dictations such as autopsy, surgical, and bone marrow reports, as well as medicolegal consultation notes.
  • Accurately enter patient demographics, specimen descriptions, and results into our medical systems.
  • Organize and maintain filing systems for critical medical records, slides, and related documents.
  • Prepare materials like procedure manuals, correspondence, and reports from dictation or handwritten drafts.
  • Perform clerical duties that support the lab's daily functions, such as photocopying, filing, and managing slide requests.

What you bring

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 and graduation from an approved Medical Transcription program.
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience in medical transcription. Relatable experience includes: Medical Documentation Specialist, Healthcare Transcriptionist, Clinical Transcriptionist, Medical Scribe, Healthcare Documentation Associate, Medical Records Transcriptionist, Pathology Transcriptionist, Medical Documentation Coordinator, Medical Language Specialist, Transcription Coordinator (Healthcare),Health Information Transcriptionist, Transcription Specialist (Medical) and Medical Data Entry Specialist Medical Report Transcriptionist
  • Proven expertise in medical documentation roles such as: Medical Scribe, Healthcare Documentation Associate, or Medical Records Transcriptionist

You will also have

  • The ability to Type at a speed of 60+ words per minute with impeccable accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The Ability to deal with other effectively.
