Are you efficient and detail oriented? Effectively handle administrative
tasks so our department runs smoothly and we can provide patients with the best
care.
What you’ll do:
·Schedule patient appointments and books follow-up appointments into database. Input, sort, retrieve and maintain database of patient information.
·Performs reception duties including receiving and directing patients, answering, screening and redirecting phone calls, taking messages including calls from pharmacies for refill prescriptions and verification.
·Draft documents such as letters and agendas.
·Arrange meetings, book meeting rooms. Maintain calendars, records, transcribe and distributes minutes.
·Send, receive, sort, and distribute all incoming mail, faxes, reports and documents and processes outgoing mail. Arranges for courier service as needed.
·Maintain office/medical supply inventory by processing requisitions’ for stationary and medical supplies.
·Prepare and submit expense claims by ensuring invoices are coded to correct cost centre and authorized for payment. Maintain a bring-forward system for all billings/invoices. Submit check requisitions for reimbursements and expenditures to PHSA finance.
·Input/extract information from database to establish, maintain and store financial data.
What you bring
·Grade 12 and two year’s recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
·Knowledge of medical terminology
You can:
·Keyboard at least 45 wpm.
·Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
·Organize work
·Deal with others effectively
·Operate related equipment.
